1984 – 1987

Kindergarten was cool. I learned how to read and they made me walk around each classroom and read out loud to the classes. My brother was very embarrassed.

1st grade is a bit of a blur. I don’t remember my teacher’s name but I do remember she looked mixed or something. She was mean and she gave me a spanking…. for what I can not remember.

2nd grade was more vivid. I began paying more attention to my surroundings. I believe I also got a spanking in this class with a yardstick. Miss Hayes loved to call us “numbskull”.
